This is a pretty early ‘Sleeper’ doodle. This is when I envisioned him being middle aged.

This is an early ink drawing of Trechekov, again I originally imagined him a bit older, in his mid sixties.

These are the three tryouts I did for the first page of ‘Sleeper’, I wanted to show as much as I could about the scene’s landscape with as little visual description as possible. The 3rd page is my least favourite but it’s also the first attempt at this scene.
